I am running to be your next North Carolina House Representative for District 21 because Cary and Apex deserve leadership rooted in service, trust, and common sense.
For the past 20 years, my wife Melissa and I have built and operated a small business right here in this community. Through our martial arts school, we have had the privilege of teaching thousands of children not only self-defense, but leadership, discipline, confidence, respect, perseverance, and character.
For many families, our school has been more than an activity. It has been a place where children learned to believe in themselves, overcome challenges, show respect, and grow into stronger young men and women. Parents have trusted us with their children for two decades, and that trust means everything to us.
Outside of our small business, I have also served as a Cybersecurity Engineer, helping protect critical healthcare, military, and government systems. I have held a Top Secret clearance and passed a polygraph. In my professional life, trust and accountability were not optional. They were required.
That is the kind of seriousness I will bring to the North Carolina House.
District 21 is one of the most diverse and dynamic districts in our state. Cary and Apex are filled with families from different backgrounds, cultures, faiths, and life experiences. That diversity should be respected, not exploited.
Over the last 20 years, we have had the honor of working closely with many Asian families in our community. Roughly 80% of the students in our martial arts school come from Asian families, and we have gained a deep respect for the values so many families bring with them: dedication to education, respect for teachers, commitment to family, personal responsibility, discipline, and hard work.
But let me be clear: no community is monolithic.
Asian voters are not a political category. They are not a campaign talking point. They are parents, business owners, students, professionals, neighbors, taxpayers, and citizens with different opinions, different priorities, and different stories.
My promise is simple: I will never take you for granted.
I will not assume your vote. I will not reduce you to your background. I will listen, show up, and work for every family in District 21.
This campaign is about the issues that matter most: lowering the cost of living, supporting strong schools, protecting children, strengthening public safety, helping small businesses, and restoring accountability in government.
I do not believe Representative Liu’s record reflects the values of Cary, Apex, or North Carolina. Her law license suspension, even though stayed under monitoring, raises serious questions about judgment, accountability, and public trust.
District 21 deserves a representative who does not need oversight to do the right thing.
You deserve someone who has already spent 20 years serving families in this community with consistency, transparency, and dedication.
I am not running to represent a political machine. I am running to represent you.
